Terms
A guide, not a guarantee
The sign at the kerb always wins. Signs change, councils run events and roadworks, photos get old, and people make mistakes. Before you leave your car, read the signs where you are parked. You are responsible for where and how long you park, and for any fine or tow.
FreePark does not know about public holidays, school terms, temporary signs, or permits you may hold. Do not use the app while driving.
If you add to the map
- Only log what you actually saw, where you actually saw it.
- Photograph the sign or the kerb. Keep people, number plates and the inside of anyone's property out of the frame.
- Everything you add is public: the photo, the location of the spot, the rules and the date. Your name and email are never shown.
- You can remove anything you added, at any time, from your account.
- By adding a spot you allow FreePark to publish it and its photo as part of the map. We may remove anything that is wrong, private or abusive, and accounts that keep adding it.
The legal part
FreePark is provided as it is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for fines, towing, loss or damage that comes from relying on it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
