What we keep

If you only look, we keep nothing about you. Your location is used on your phone to sort spots by distance. When you search for a place, a rough version of it, to about a kilometre, goes with the search so that nearby places come first. None of it is stored. Spots you save without an account stay on your device. When you ask for directions, this phone remembers which spot for twelve hours, so the app can ask whether it worked out; that never leaves the phone unless you answer.

If you sign in, we keep your email address, the spots and photos you add, the spots you save, and any checks, votes or reports you make. A vote on whether a spot was right keeps how far you were from it, not where you were. A check at a photographed sign records where you were standing, because that is what makes it a check. Other people only ever see how many said a spot worked or was wrong, never who.

We do not sell your personal information.

Leaving

You can delete your account from the Account tab. That removes your email and your saved spots. Spots you added stay on the map with no account attached, so the people relying on them do not lose them. If you want those gone too, remove them first.
